Vice President or Associate, US Municipal Finance, Infrastructure Solutions

Associates in RBC's Infrastructure Solutions group play a critical role in the successful origination and execution of advisory and financing transactions for our not-for-profit and governmental clients. Infrastructure Solutions operates within RBC's Municipal Finance franchise and focuses on delivering innovative solutions to the firm’s clients, including but not limited to:
Energy-as-a-service partnerships to fund distributed energy infrastructure improvements, including solar energy systems, battery storage, combined heat and power facilities, and other on-site generation technologies delivered through design-build-finance-operate-maintain (DBFOM) structures
Real estate portfolio optimization strategies, including sale-leaseback transactions, capital-to-lease structures, ground lease monetization, and other balance sheet management solutions
Public-private partnerships and alternative delivery models

What will you do?
Support the execution of advisory and financing transactions for healthcare systems, universities, K-12 school districts, municipalities, and other public entities
Build detailed financial models to analyze project economics, cash flow projections, and credit metrics
Prepare marketing materials and transaction documentation including requests for proposals, confidential information memorandums, offering memorandums, and rating agency presentations
Conduct due diligence including financial statement analysis, operational metrics review, and third-party report analysis
Develop expertise in municipal finance, energy-as-a-service models, and real estate monetization strategies through research, market analysis and industry relationships
Create pitch materials and client presentations that articulate transaction structures and RBC's advisory capabilities
Collaborate with senior bankers on client relationship management and participate in client meetings
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Business, or related field
3+ years of experience in investment banking, municipal finance, infrastructure finance, real estate finance or related fields
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
Proficiency building financial models and performing financial statement analysis
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Nice to Have
Understanding of tax-exempt & taxable financial products and municipal bond markets
Knowledge of energy-as-a-service models and real estate monetization strategies
Familiarity with FASB and GASB accounting principles and not-for-profit financial statements
Series 79 and Series 63 licenses

The expected salary range for this particular position is $160,000 - $250,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.
