This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes how Young Professionals In Infrastructure, Inc. (“YPI,” “we,” us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses your personal information.  This Privacy Policy applies to our website, social media pages, newsletter, in person events and any email communications we may send to you (the “Sites”).  The words “user,” “you,” and “your” mean users of the Sites.  To the extent permitted by applicable law, you consent to the use of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy each time you visit our Sites.

Providing, improving and developing our Sites

We use your information to help us provide, improve, and develop our Sites, which is necessary for us to pursue our mission. Our Sites may contain links to or the ability for you to access third-party websites, products, and services.  Our Sites may also include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content.  We are not responsible for the privacy practices employed by those third parties, nor are we responsible for the information or content their products and services contain. 

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the cookies, applications, technologies, content or websites that are owned and/or operated by third parties, or such third parties’ practices. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by us.  We encourage you to read the privacy policies of such third parties before proceeding to use third party websites, products, or services.

Your privacy rights, choice and access

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: 

  • See what data we have about you, if any, and access the data.

  • Change/correct any data we have about you.

  • Have us delete any data we have about you.

Subject to the Legal Disclosure provisions above, you may direct us not to share your Personal Information with third parties, not to use your Personal Information to provide you with information or offers, or not to send you newsletters, e-mails or other communications by following the removal instructions in the communication that you receive from us.

In accordance with our routine record keeping, we may delete certain records that contain Personal Information you have submitted through the Sites. We will retain your personal information for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. In addition, you should be aware that it is not always possible to completely remove or delete all of your information from our databases without some residual data because of backups and other reasons.
